Beachbumming, rockclimbing and fancyschmancy resorts

After beeing selfappointed fashiondesigners for some days we quit while on top and moved down south to the main divesite in Vietnam, Nha Trangh. Of course with serious plans on freshing up on our diveskills from Great Barrier. Sometimes things does not go as you plan, and this was one them.
It all started with Christian catching on a small cold, and for those who knows anything about beeing under water, you know that cold and diving does not match very well. So we started out with renting a motorbike and learn how to manouver the vietnamese traffic. This went very well we must say, except that we don't fancy the russian vehicles pouring black exhost when overtaking. Anyway, it's really good driving around on the countryside on your own and we passed beautiyful saltfields and ricefields before we got to our destination; a chalk white, clean beach without any tourists! Only some cute kids going "hello" and staring at us as if they never saw any of our kind before. We did melt...
We decided to spend a couple of days on a resort run by a french-canadian just to chill out. We got a whole lot more of action than we bargained for... On the way to a waterfall we had to do some serious workout. Piles of boulders were between us and the attraction, and rockclimbing without shoes turned out to be the best peeling ever! On our way back, Christian twisted his ankel and couldnt even stand on the foot. More the less climb! Some vietnamese kids came to our rescue and helped as best they could showing us the way and carrying Christian. After a while a bunch of vietnamese men came to help. The situation was frustrating. It was hot, we were exhosted and we communicated only with our hands. It was also very funny, because these men must be only half of Christians size and they were doing turns on carrying him! Finally back at the resort we were very well taken care of. First there was vietnamese firstaid treatment with gingeralcohol, and then there was several advice since the guests were nurses, doctors and fysiotherapists! In this writing moment Christians foot is very good, he can even jog lightly on the beach!
So after this disasterous day it was Marit's time to enjoy a small cold. So that was it, no diving in Vietnam for us this time!
So after realizing this, we headed even more south to a beach resort place called Mui Ne. Very expencive place because this is Vietnams touristplace nr 1. But we had great fun with riding motorbike again, and just plain beachbumming of course. We even checked out the watersportsection and had great fun with the jetski! Marit loves the feeling of the roaring engine, and turned out to be the worst speedfreek on water!
