Dragons on the loose!!!

We are currently in Luang Prabang, Laos. The temple-city of Laos. The royalties of Laos lived here untll they were overthown in in 1975, and left to rot in a cave, with no food.

And the city of Luang Prabang is magnificent. There are only like 16.000 people living here (according to our Lonely Planet) but that is only the city. This province houses alot more and they flock the city in the night to set up nightmarkets.
The shopping here is exellent and cheap, but have to be carried for still another month. So we try to keep our packs as they are.
We have seen the most of the city now, and patroled from one Wat (Temple) to the other. This statue, named four dragons and a butterfly, is infront of the old palace of the king. In total there are over 20 Wats (I can think of several blunt jokes here, but will leave(there was one more) it unspoken).
We have to write somthing about how we got here. We had two options to travel the Mekong River down here. Our friend Evelina told us we had to take the SLOW boat to Luang Prabang. This is a vessel that houses some 60 people, and takes two days.
The other option was a SPEEDboat that covers the whole distance in just six hours, with speeds over 40km/h and a deathrate we dont want to menton.
So we did option number 1.
What we didn't expect, was that it was uncomftable to the rims, and left the taste of wood in your ass for hours. Anyhow alot of nice people on the boat, so we made it through the first day.
We had to spend the night in Pak Beng, a small village that wouldn't have been there if the boats could go all the way to Luang Prabang. Here they turn off the lights at 9-10 in the evening, cause they actually have no electricity, except diesel-powered engines that provide just enough for a couple of houndred lightbulbs.
Dreading the next boatride, we climbed aboard and had eight hours untill we got to our destination. Somehow we finally got there, found a guesthouse, and made our way to bed.
